Blueberry Stem Color

“Hi, could you tell me whether what color of wood your recommended blueberries have? ~E.”

When most people are selecting the variety of blueberry that would fit best in their garden, one of the last things they think of is how it will look during the cold months of winter. What is great about blueberries is they have terrific winter color — with stems in shades of yellow, orange, and red.

As for the ones that I readily recommend to my gardening friends, their stem colors are as follows:

Red — Chandler, Blueray, Patriot, Rubel, Northcountry, Dwarf Northsky, Dwarf Northblue, Friendship

Yellow — Northland

Red-Orange — Top Hat

  1. Good day. I’m having trouble with your website. I can’t see the pictures. Is anyone else having this problem? I have been having trouble with my laptop lately, so I’m not sure if its my computer or if its your website. Thanks!
