‘Dark Night’/ ‘Eddy Mitchell’ Rose

“Hello. I was told that Dark Night rose is the same as Eddy Mitchell. However, on the Mielland website, it states that it only grows to around 50 cm, and the Edmund’s website says 4-6 ft. Which of these is correct? Thanks so much. ~P.”

Thanks for your email regarding the ‘Dark Night’/ ‘Eddy Mitchell’ rose.  Yes, you are correct in that these are synonymous names for the same rose.  I’m not sure where you found that this one is 50 cm tall but whatever source said that is either incorrect or has a typo.

‘Dark Night’/ ‘Eddy Mitchell’ is also known as ‘MEIrysett’ and by its exhibition name, ‘Garden Director Bartje Miller’.  This rose is 4.6’-6’ feet tall (120 to 185 cm).  The Edmund’s Roses website/catalog is correct in their information.

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be really one thing that I feel I would never understand. It kind of feels too complex and very large for me. I am having a look forward in your next put up, I will attempt to get the hold of it!
